Most of these trails suitable for all levels of hikers! Check out a few of our favorite trails in Concan.
1. Garner State Park Trails
- Old Baldy Trail: This trail is more challenging and takes you to the top of Old Baldy Hill. The trail is steep and rocky but relatively short. Hikers can see amazing views of the Frio River!
- Crystal Cave Trail: This is a moderately difficult trail that leads hikers to a small cave. The trail is approximately 1.5 miles long.
- Blinn River Trail: This is an easy scenic trail following along the Frio River. It offers a beautiful walk for families looking to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
2. Lost Maples State Natural Area
- East Trail: A challenging 4.6-mile loop that takes you through rugged terrain. This trail offers views of the surrounding canyons and Sabinal River.
- West Trail: Another moderately challenging trail about 5 miles long. It takes you through the scenic canyons and past some of the park's signature maple trees.
3. Hill Country State Natural Area
- Bar-O Trail: A moderate 2.6-mile trail that offers a mix of open grasslands and wooded areas.
- Spring Branch Trail: A more challenging 5.6-mile loop that takes you through the heart of the Hill Country. The trail features rugged terrain, scenic vistas, and a variety of native plants.
